Personal profile

Beth has extensive experience within the education sector ranging from primary to higher education. She is currently a Lecturer at Æß²ÊÖ±²¥ and has previously worked as a primary school teacher and headteacher. Beth also has experience with trade unions including being an elected president of the NAHT: working in partnership with trade unions was also part of her role as a HR Advisor in a local manufacturing industry. Her academic experience includes teaching, personal tutoring, supervision, developing, designing and preparing of academic modules, assessment generally at undergraduate level, but with some postgraduate modules.

Research interests/expertise

Beth's main research focus is on resilience and stress relating to employees, with particular reference to education and primary schools. This research also reflects on leadership and work culture. Beth is currently doing PhD research to understand the factors that either support or impede resilience in 'early career' primary school teachers.
