Personal profile

Engineering Sustainability at the interface of Technology and Nature based solutions, underpinned by Energy demand and Environmental impact mitigation. My PhD focused in Environmental Engineering/ Pollution Control Technology, University of Nottingham, UK.

I have pursued interdisciplinary research and methods, both in UK and in international settings, for system-scale sustainability assessment of technology innovations. This has largely covered feasibility assessment of environmentally benign solutions to global challenges on closed-loop resource reuse and renewable energy, for both industrial and societal applications.

Within the broad remit of Engineering Sustainability, my work focuses on combining fundamental understanding at technology level with socio-economic practice to mitigate environmental impacts from technology up scaling and at systems level, through in-house, UK wide and wider international collaborations. More recent activities focus on international collaborations with India, Jordan, Turkey, Egypt on whole system sustainability, supporting viable technology integration across energy-water-transport infrastructure.
