Personal profile

I hold a PhD in Computer Science (Machine Learning), and BSc and MSc degrees in Statistics. Before becoming a Senior Lecturer in Data Analytics at Æß²ÊÖ±²¥, I was an Associate Professor in Statistics at the Federal University of Paraíba (Brazil) and a Research Associate in Data Science at Loughborough University.

My research and teaching experience resides in data science, statistical analysis and modelling (including probability and uncertainty), machine learning algorithms and applications, temporal analysis, and trustworthy AI. I have 21 years of experience teaching undergraduate and graduate programs and supervising MSc and PhD students. I also have experience in professional and academic leadership roles.
