Dr. Farukh has built a distinguished academic career in the UK and USA, earning a PhD in Mechanical and Materials Engineering, a PGCert in Teaching in Higher Education, an MSc in Advanced Manufacturing Engineering and Management, and a BSc in Mechanical Engineering. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of IMechE, and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.

Dr. Farukh's multidisciplinary research expertise spans mechanics, materials, design, and energy and sustainability engineering. His impactful research has been featured on platforms like the BBC, Telegraph, and CNN, and he has secured research funding totaling over £1M.

With over 18 years of teaching experience, Dr. Farukh has received multiple awards for his innovative approach to integrating research into teaching. His leadership in curriculum development has significantly enhanced student satisfaction and program success.
