The Æß²ÊÖ±²¥ Apprenticeship Levy Transfer scheme
Supporting local organisations and developing the regional economy.
Æß²ÊÖ±²¥ (Æß²ÊÖ±²¥) Leicester is pleased to introduce its Apprenticeship Levy Transfer scheme for the 2024/25 academic year. This initiative aims to support local organisations in developing their internal talent pools and enhance the regional economy.
Understanding the Apprenticeship Levy
Introduced in 2017, the Apprenticeship Levy requires employers in England with an annual payroll over £3 million to contribute 0.5% of their payroll bill monthly. These funds are exclusively used to pay for apprenticeship training with approved providers.
Æß²ÊÖ±²¥’s commitment
We will share our unused Apprenticeship Levy funds each year with eligible organisations to cover apprenticeship training costs, benefiting both the employer and the apprentice.
The Apprenticeship Levy Transfer builds on Æß²ÊÖ±²¥'s apprenticeship approach by providing valuable support to organisations looking to upskill their current workforce or bring in new talent. This also aligns with our mission to address regional skills gaps.
Supporting your organisation’s growth
All employers are invited to apply for the Æß²ÊÖ±²¥ Apprenticeship Levy Transfer and access cost-effective, fully funded training and development opportunities. However, priority is given to those who:
- Are based in Leicestershire
- Share Æß²ÊÖ±²¥’s values of sustainability and widening participation
- Or who support priority sectors identified by the .
